Where this stands
This is a journey we are thinking about organising, not one you can book. We are gathering interest while we work on it behind the scenes. Nothing is confirmed yet: no prices, no partners and no places are held. More is cooking, and people who register interest hear first when it moves.
Our idea is a mountain pause for 2027: daily yoga and meditation, restorative time and gentle walks in the foothills, around Rishikesh. The season, the retreat and the programme are still being shaped, and no partner is implied.
What Rishikesh is
Rishikesh is a small city in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, in the foothills of the Himalayas, on the Ganga. India's tourism board calls it the yoga capital of the world: a place of ashrams, riverside ghats and swaying suspension bridges, where people come to study yoga and meditation. The Beatles famously came here in the 1960s to learn from Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
The season matters. The tourism board's monthly figures for Rishikesh run from about 5 to 27 °C in December and 11 to 32 °C in November, up to 45 °C at the top of the range in May. That is why the season for this journey is still being chosen with care. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant, at Dehradun, and the main international gateway is Delhi.
